Brownsburg Community School Corporation (BCSC) was seeking energy conservation improvements during renovations throughout their school district. They needed control upgrades in multiple buildings, boiler modifications, demand control ventilation, and system optimization at multiple school locations—all to secure maximum future energy savings while staying within the current renovation budget.

PROJECT SOLUTIONS
ECS Midwest performed a district-wide cyber station upgrade for BCSC. In addition, systems optimization and other energy conservation measures were performed throughout the district, including installation of heat recover chillers, pony boilers, peak demand load sheds, and air handling unit variable frequency drives. Throughout the upgrades, ECS Midwest performed a review of all existing flow values for every efficiency, replacement of existing CO2 sensors, functional performance testing of all existing HVAC systems, and blower coil unit duct modifications and retrofits.

All BCSC schools received an A from the Indiana Department of Education in 2015 for the fourth straight year. Brownsburg’s ISTEP+ achievement level ranks the third highest out of 292 Indiana school districts.
