Adams, MONROE, IN
VALUE DELIVERED
Guaranteed annual energy savings of $58,298; improved building comfort; reduced energy loss at doors; more efficient lighting; lower operating costs; ongoing economies, efficiencies and investment returns.
OBJECTIVES
To reduce energy consumption and costs for a 207,743-square-foot school building.
SOLUTIONS
ECS Midwest self-performed this project under a performance guarantee contract that ensured energy savings of $58,298 per year for 10 years. This figure was based on company assessment procedures designed to provide increasingly precise energy-savings estimates.
In addition to converting from electric to natural gas-fired heating, ECS Midwest technicians installed rooftop units over the elementary school gymnasium. The company also put in a lighting system that improves energy efficiency, air curtains that reduce energy loss at doorways, and an exhaust fan control that further improves system performance and economy.
