The City of Lafayette was seeking to define and implement an energy conservation and operating cost reduction plan that would include repairs, replacements, and modernization in their existing facilities.

After receiving an energy efficiency facility audit and implementing the energy efficiency strategy from ECS Midwest, the City of Lafayette is expected to save $48,526.00 each year for the next six years for a total projected savings of $291,156.00.
PROJECT SOLUTIONS
ECS Midwest performed a full lighting retrofit in the 5th Street parking garage, replacing 88 metal halide fixtures with pendulum-mounted induction lighting fixtures. At Fire Station #5, they performed an energy management upgrade, which included installing a Honeywell WEBS Web–based DDC system for the existing furnaces and condensing units. Updated bay lighting and garage door repairs were also performed at the firehouse. At many crosswalk intersections, new PedHead assemblies were installed.
