Mike Stetler

BOS Representative

Value Delivered

Mike ensures that local school superintendents, business managers, facility directors, and others understand how EMCOR Construction Services’ (ECS) Building Operations Services (BOS) can help them balance their budgets, while improving their facility’s operations and ensuring an optimum learning environment. After a contract has been signed, Mike continues to work with the client as the primary point of contact, ensuring that all work is delivered on time and on budget at a level of quality that meets ECS’s highest standards.

Expertise

Mike has more than 34 years of facilities management experience in the Fort Wayne Community Schools. After spending 19 years as a mechanical maintenance technician working on heavy heating equipment, he became inventory control manager, a position he held for the next five years. He then spent two years as supervisor of general maintenance and hazardous materials before becoming coordinator of capital projects. In this latter position, which he held for nine years, he developed and managed large building and renovation projects. His biggest project was the addition and renovation of North Side High School. Costing nearly $50-million, the project ran from 2002 through 2005, and was delivered on time and within budget.

Mike studied HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems at the Fort Wayne Regional Vocational School. A licensed asbestos supervisor, he participated in the IPFW (Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne) supervision and leadership training series.

In addition, he has taken various boiler/burner, controls, and safety procedures courses. These include Kewanee, Iron Fireman, Aerco, and Hydro Therm boiler training, Fireye and Honeywell flame safeguard programs, and Automated Logic building controls factory training. He has also completed the Building Products University roof management course, IASBO (Indiana Association of School Business Officials) roof seminars, and Siplast, Performance, Firestone, Suprema, Johns Manville, and Firestone roofing training.

The Personal Side

Mike and his wife have two children, a boy and a girl. In addition to his family, Mike enjoys golfing, fishing, NASCAR racing, bowling, and collecting sports cards and other collectibles. A member of Scottish Rite, he is also a Mason and a Shriner.
