Robert Gehrlich, CEM

Business Development Operations Manager

Value Delivered

Bob leads his team in creating comprehensive, highly targeted proposals that combine innovative value engineering concepts, leading-edge technologies and in-depth systems expertise. While projects are in the feasibility stage, he conducts detailed operating audits and studies, of the building’s systems and utilities, to develop the lifecycle and performance cost analyses that enable clients to manage their systems more effectively, while obtaining long-term value. During the engineering and construction phases, Bob collaborates with the engineering and installation team to insure the customer receives a high-performance operation and an ongoing return on investment.   The results are solutions that meet customer’s needs, achieve their operational and financial goals, while improving building performance, energy efficiency and productivity.

Expertise

Bob has 30 years of experience in building controls, mechanical systems, energy-saving technologies, and facilities services. His career began in 1980 at Honeywell Building Controls and Construction Division. In 2008, he joined ECS. Since then, he has held key sales, operations, and management positions.

Bob has a bachelor’s in construction engineering from Purdue University. He is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM), and a member of both the Association of Energy Engineers and the Design-Build Institute of America. He currently is a Board Member of the Central Indiana Chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers.  In addition, he has served as president of the Central and Northern Indiana Chapters of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers, where he remains active.
